Panthenol is used in skincare products as a humectant because of its ability to attract and hold moisture. Sometimes called pro-vitamin B5, panthenol helps with healing wounds and is an anti-inflammatory. It is used in formulas because it helps in getting rid of issues like flaky or dry skin.
Hyaluronic acid, also known as hyaluronan, is a clear, gooey substance that is naturally produced by our body. Hyaluronic acid is renowned for its unique ability to retain water moisture and deeply hydrate the skin. It's a good light weight moisturizer...soothing n doesn't irritate skin neither clogs pores...
This product is great for oily acne prone skin. Helps in soothing inflammation in the skin. However it is not gel consistency. It is comparatively thinner, so using it as a serum followed by moisturizer.
Given that I have dry skin, I had bought this to use as a serum and not a moisturiser. It is definitely a hydrating serum but that's about it. I had mostly bought it in the hopes that it would be soothing and would reduce redness if acne comes into play. However, I didnt see any of that sort. It didnt do anything bad for my skin but neither did it do anything great.
